Sticking with React Native
Shopify wrote about their push back to native on mobile. I agree with Theo when he says it's completely over-engineered, to make the original devs feel like their code matters more than it does.
Even though I could comfortably write native apps, there's no way in hell I'm moving off React Native. It's still the best way to write mobile apps, hands down, in my opinion:
- Over-the-air updates are a killer feature no one else has.
- Agents just love it.
- You can run it directly on desktop for testing.
- The UI speed is equivalent to native.
Anyway, judge for yourself with Shopify's post.
